Feedback workflow

Capture context, group repeats, relay to GitHub, and verify fixes

Create the endpoint

In Onboard, choose Product feedback. This enables feedback context and reporter resolution follow-up for that endpoint.

Submit a report

typescript
await fetch(
  "https://forms.devxgroup.io/api/v1/submit/product-feedback",
  {
    method: "POST",
    headers: {
      "x-api-key": process.env.FORM_RELAY_KEY!,
      "Content-Type": "application/json",
    },
    body: JSON.stringify({
      email: "reporter@example.com",
      message: "Save button does nothing",
      _feedback: {
        pageUrl: "https://app.example.com/settings",
        appVersion: "1.4.0",
        environment: "production",
        browser: "Chrome 140",
        notifyReporter: true,
      },
    }),
  },
);
json
{
  "ok": true,
  "lead_id": "lead_123",
  "feedback_status": "received"
}

The reserved _feedback object is stored separately from your application payload. Supported fields are pageUrl, appVersion, environment, userId, screenshotUrl, browser, operatingSystem, locale, and notifyReporter.

Connect the relay

  1. Open Integrations and connect GitHub.
  2. Choose repository access on GitHub.
  3. Open Automations, choose the endpoint, select Triage + issues, and choose the repository.
  4. Choose an available schedule and enable the automation. Keep one enabled automation per endpoint.
  5. Submit a new report after enabling the job. Triage + digest does not create issues.

The first canonical report creates a GitHub issue. Repeated reports become comments on that issue when AI grouping is included. Free uses rules weekly, Indie allows daily, and Pro allows as reports arrive. Scheduled jobs are checked hourly.

Closing an issue as completed queues mail for reporters who opted in. Closing as not planned does not resolve reports. Completion does not prove a release is available. A still-broken response queues a reopen. Plan and shared email caps apply.

In Leads, open a report and choose Copy coding brief for your coding assistant. Review free-form text for private information first. This prepares a manual handoff; it does not start an agent, merge or deploy.
