Workspace access and billing

Who can sign in, what GitHub can access, and when payment is required

Who can sign in during the private launch?

While Form Relay is in private launch, only owner accounts that the operator has pre-approved can sign in. Once public registration opens, anyone can sign in with GitHub or an emailed sign-in link and get a Free workspace. There is no team invitation system yet.

What happens when public registration opens?

  1. A customer signs in with GitHub or an emailed sign-in link.
  2. Form Relay creates a Free workspace for that customer.
  3. The customer can create endpoints and API keys without a card.
  4. Repository access stays separate. The customer chooses which GitHub account, organization, and repositories to connect.

When is payment required?

The Free plan does not require a card. Paid plans increase submission limits and automation features. Customers start checkout from Settings after paid checkout is enabled. A disabled upgrade button means checkout is not available yet. A full refund ends paid access and moves the workspace back to Free; endpoints, keys, and submissions are kept.

What is a workspace?

A workspace owns its endpoints, API keys, submissions, email templates, GitHub connections, automations, and plan. The workspace name and default email sender can be changed in Settings.
